New Lantao Bus fares increased with effect 18 June 2023.
We want to make it easier to take the bus whenever possible and cut traffic volume, reducing the need for massive urban style development road works projects while doing our best to maintain our rural countryside lifestyle.
NOTE: Those of us new to the JoyYou Octopus card scheme are encouraged to pay section fares where applicable and reduce costs to taxpayers.

“Some people use this discount scheme to take a long-haul trip or bus, like cross-harbor tunnel buses, yet they are basically not crossing the harbor. They get off after two to three stops because the buses are more convenient.” The government is in discussion with operators on possible route rearrangement and fee adjustment.
